Senpai Hannah Ray, Jr. 1st Dan
Hannah Ray began her Shotokan Karate training under Sensei Victor Young as a Lil’ Tiger when she was five years old. She has trained continuously at Camarillo Shotokan and earned her 1st Degree black belt, Jr Grade in October 2009. Hannah assists with the Lil' Cubs and Lil' Tigers pre-karate programs during the week when she does not have cross country or track and field practice after school.
Hannah is a 9th grade honor student at St. Bonaventure High School. She plays the clarinet for the school band and is a member of the track and field and cross country teams. As a freshman, Hannah competed with the varsity cross country team earning her first varsity letter as well as county and school academic athlete awards.
Hannah has been studying traditional hula since she was five years old and has participated in international hula competitions in Long Beach and Pleasanton, CA. She is a member of Las Posas 4-H, and her projects include photography, sewing, and cake decorating. Hannah is an altar server at St Mary Magdalen Church and enjoys participating in the youth ministry events. Hannah has an older brother, Christopher, who is a 1st Degree black belt at Camarillo Shotokan.
